Speed 1050rs Ignition Button Fix Or Replace

Hi, new member here.

have a 1050rs owned since new with 10kms, the ignition switch has just started to play up, sometimes works, sometimes doesnt, other times the killswitch is way too sensitive.

is there a known fix for this or is it a replace part and if so how hard.

Hi there, I'd imagine that it’s a new one as its probably a straight swap with a couple of connectors.
We don't actually have the switch in the UK but I think it was only for certain markets?
I suppose it might be possible to remove the whole thing somehow?

Thanks mate, this is the handle bar mounted switch I'm referring to btw.

 

Many switches over time , especially if they are exposed to weather / moisture , can form an invisible film of corrosion on the surfaces of the switch contact points.
Pull apart , clean and reassemble !
