    Good evening everyone,

First off I want to thank everyone that gave me advice on the Street Twin model. After searching, I have finally purchased my first Triumph. It's a 2017 Street Twin with 5700 miles. Looking forward to adding some personal touches on it to make it my own! Enjoy the pictures below.

I am pleasantly surprised how good the stock exhaust sounds. It has a nice rumble, but not obnoxious straight pipe loud.

Looks great, very clean! I had original Triumph bar ends on mine, took them off 'cause every time I moved my left hand to wave it hit the mirror!

Ordered bar end mirrors from Ebay along with some Triumph bar end finishers. Next to hunt down a rear grab bar/luggage rack. I plan to fabricate a back rest to one as I am unable to find one for a '17 Street Twin.

Are the ebay mirrors specifically for Triumphs? I fitted Triumph bar end mirrors and finishers to my ST but my brother, being a cheap skate, took the ebay route. He had problems making his bargain mirrors fit with the finishers, especially on the throttle side. He bodged it in the end and it hangs together but he wishes he'd splashed the cash at the start.
The Triumph mirrors are ridiculously expensive but I'm lazy and always take the easy option.

The trouble with bar end fitments, especially on the throttle side, is getting a rigid fixing without interfering with the throttle action. The expanding fixing really needs something solid to pull against as it is not only expanding but pulling as well.

When fitting bar ends to my Ducati I encountered this problem. I eventually overcame this difficulty by getting a stout washer who’s internal diameter allowed the screw to pass through but had to reduce the outside diameter to the same as that of the bar (not the twist grip tube). When all tightened up it was perfectly rigid with unimpeded throttle action.

The bar end mirrors I got are generic for 7/8 bars. They look like the kit TEC sells. I did purchase genuine Triumph bar end finishers so I could clamp mirrors to bars and bolt finisher to end of bar. I'll let everyone know how they fit once they arrive.

Thanks I'll give it a look. Really wish it was easier to get a backrest for the Street Twin.

Certainly a nice bike, I remember my first Triumph was a blue 1956 Thunderbird I had just upgraded from a 1955 Matchless G9. I was riding along then suddenly the back wheel locked up. I stopped and looked at the engine and saw sunlight poking through, a gudgeon pin had come out and did severe damage to the engine thats why I bought my first Triumph.
