I purchased the Triumph quilted seat for the Speed Twin in Brown (black weren't available). At the time I had reservations about the colour as I own a red Speed twin and didn't think I would like it. Having ridden on it for a while now I have to say that I find it much more comfy than the original. However I still struggle to get past how it looks and therefore have a few questions for the knowledgeable types on here. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Is the comfort aspect of the 'Comfort Seat' in the cover material, they reference 3D mesh or is it in the padding on the seat base? The thinking being that I could recover the 'Comfort Seat', but pointless if the cover is the improved part of the seat! What is the seat cover material, is it possible to stain it black? Does anyone have any experience with a company called Viking who are based in England and make bespoke covers? I really like the look of the black leather/vinyl ribbed style seat covers versus the quilted, I think they suit the style of the bike, any thoughts?
Funnelli. I like your seat and i personally think the brown is nice and complements the bike colours. I have the brown seat on my bonnie. And you won't be able to dye the cover. Joe.
Thanks for that, I sometimes think I may have gone ott bolting bits on. I love my bike so much and am a trifle ocd about how it looks, I definitely appreciate the positive feedback.
I ordered the additional black seat for my T120 Black Edition Bonnie, because I don`t like the optic of the original brown one. The price is about €300.- for it.
Funnelli. You see its what matters to you. Some will like some will not. But at the end of the day its down to you. I like my brown seat and people say that looks good even though i did think at the beginning it would look out of place. And like you i do like all my bikes to look good to me. Joe.
