Hi Ya'll I'm an old git, but a newbie here. I had a lovely Street Scrambler which was a tad too tall. Rode it like an idiot and broke my ankle, so was off work for 3 months. Decided not to go back to work and bought a 2017 Street Twin to celebrate. It fits me like a glove and I love it. I call that Serendipity, though Mrs Mugwump calls it lunacy. Whatever.
Welcome in mugwump you old git, lunacy is one of the necessary qualifications needed here, the wife always know best and we all normally agree with what they say while with them It's only away from them we act normal.
Greetings, Mugwump, and welcome to the forum. What a great intro. Great choice to stay off work and buy a new bike instead. You'll fit right in here. We'd love to see a photo or two of that "fits like a glove" Street Twin.
Thanks for the warm welcome everybody. She fits me like a glove because I'm a shortarse. Being vertically challenged, I find that I can flatfoot her and even 'paddle backwards' with confidence. But I had to modify her. The pipes were just toooo long, so I 'slashed' them. And the rear mudguard stuck out too far as well, so that had to go also. This is what remains...at the moment.
