    Hello all !

first above all, I am living for a 2000 miles road trip on the 2nd of July.

A few weeks back I bookmarked those, and bought them yesterday.
Unfortunately, victims of their success they will be on back order and will not be delivered before 6-7 weeks. ( just got a mail from sales, it was written on the home page.... duuuuuuh )

The thing is my monthly budget is tight, so, provided they refund me, I will need to find another pair or reliable pair of armoured leggings or Kevlar (or similar) for a budget around 100£-150£.

Can somebody recommend something ?
    Please help ! :D

Hi Sam, have you thought about Hood jeans? They are British and get good reviews and seem a good price.
Also, worth looking on ebay for second hand ones with very little wear in them.

I know what you mean but I have bought gear from ebay that is like new - people buy it and it's the wrong size or they don'y like the look and then put it on ebay. You need to look around for a bit though. I have some Draggin jeans from ebay which were almost brand new and half the price.

Fair enough, I'll look inot that as well.

It might sound silly, but, for me at least, on a Bonneville T100, style matters, and I like to find something in which I don;t look like a dork.

I'm not suggesting you buy something that wouldn't fit or wouldn't suit your style - some shops sell on ebay at a cheaper price - no overheads. :)

There are some bargains there on the face of it. Hope they turn out well.

I also got a pair of Hornee jeans. I am reasonably impressed with them.

Like the separate armour system, means it stays where it's supposed to be, as opposed to being sewn into the jeans and therefore possible for them to twist away in the event of an off. Plus - on Sunday was roasting hot in Glasgow for the Erskine Hospital ride, 30 seconds and knee armour slipped off and left in my panniers and able to walk around in a normal pair of jeans.

Nothing is going to be as good as a pair of leathers in an off, but jeans are so much more comfortable on and when off the bike. Riding like a gixxer tw*t, I was always in leathers, but taking it easy and cruising, quite happy in Kevlar lined jeans.
