Have just been out for a quick spin to check out my new suspension settings. A definite improvement but it was F cold out 4° according to the Met Office. :cold_sweat:

Rocked temps in the upper 50'sF yesterday so naturally I took her out for a couple hours. Did a 50 mile run into the city, laced around downtown proper for a bit, and headed back after a quick break at the donkey joint. Stopped into the usual for the usual on the back end and took this shot of her all sad and lonely out front now that FrankenHarley's gone. If FrankenHarley was out there, I would always park right next to him.

There's going to be wake at the pub in APR.

Take care of your health, people. If you smoke, quit… now. If you don't smoke, don't start.

2nd shot is a better view of the FrankenHarley from a couple months back. Like I said- hand/scratch built from 3 or 4 separate bikes.

not much ... so while reading the service manual, found info about the fork oil, the manual recommends shell hydraulic fluid ISO 32 viscosity .... talk about an obscure specification, on the web I can only find 20L containers!
A bit more searching helped me understand the ISO 32 viscosity is equivalent to SAE 10W.
And well there is plenty of fork 10W oil brands available in small 0.5L bottles
    I won't have nightmares about this :p

Unfortunately, winter has our country firmly in its grip again with ice and snow. For the next few days, my TIGER has to stay in the garage again and sulks there a bit. ;) I therefore escape with my wife in a nice spa hotel over the weekend.:)

During the 2 hour journey, I play an MP3 file with a recording of my TIGER 1200 engine sounds over my radio in the car. :p:D

Hadn't ridden the bike for 3 weeks so as it's dry I've come out for a spin, it's dry but...its -5c and my nipples are up like chapel hat pegs, my eye lashes froze up, saw one other bike but he didn't acknowledge my nod,he's probably hypothermia, so I de-frosted in a cafe for an hour it's 0c now so looking forward to a "warmer " ride back home.

Update - I fitted lower Renthal 658 bars to fix the issue that failed the MOT last week and it has now passed.

It was a cold morning at -1 Celsius and I am now swapping the bars back for a nicer riding position (in a warm garage). :p

Could have stuck a couple of 5 gramme wheel weights on the lock stops, would have saved you some hassle....don't ask me how I know..

Not strictly triumph related but I went to the new sportsbikeshop in birmingham this afternoon as I was working in the local (ish) hospital.
Definitely not half as full as the boston one but staff are really friendly (which is good of course!) but parking will be a nightmare on weekends as it's a very small (shared) space with a car garage.
Not too far into castle bromwich but for me personally, pretty busy roads.
A few service odds and sods about too.
Loads of helmets about (and most in audi rs3's or m3's....)
Worth a visit if local but boston easily trumps it, even if way further.
Nice to have a bike shop open up though of course.

More bike shops means more demand so that can't be a bad thing, My nearest place is Leeds, which has a J&S right next door. Lots of choice. Plenty of parking, too.

You know you can order anything you want to try from Sportsbikeshop in as many sizes as you want online and get it delivered to your nearest store with no obligation to buy. That way you know it will all be in stock when you visit ;)
