hi from a newbie and my first post.
I've just purchased a 1994 900 sprint to play around with, I am interested in jacking up the rear end, so I am after some longer suspension links (dog bones), does anyone know if another triumph model will fit and what height it gives or are there any aftermarket item on the market I did find a German firm that advertises them, but apparently they don't fit my year.
    any help is much appreciated.
cheers from wet and cold Romney Marsh Kent .

Welcome to the forum, Mick. Are you planning to raise the front of the bike as well? If the rear is raised on its own won't it have an effect on the geometry and so the handling?

Thanks for the welcome. Yes I have raised the front by replacing the top yoke to conventual bar mounts this gave me the difference in the handle bar original mount thickness around 25/30mm i can lower the forks as required once I jack the rear end .

    Hello Mick and welcome.

I might be wide of the mark here, but some of the early triumphs had an eccentric rear hub. It could br rotated 180°, thus raising the ride height. Not sure it the sprint was one of them.

Hi and welcome. As stated by johnbo, the rear axle is mounted on eccentric adjusters which rotate using 12 mm Allen keys, 1 each side preferably after loosening the clamp bolt at the end. If the Allen heads are below the axle the bike is at its high ride height, if above, the bike is low and you can rotate the adjusters 180 degrees to make it higher.
    Hope that makes sense.
You may find the previous owner has lowered it as many do, myself included when I had my Sprint.

Are you sure you need LONGER dog bones????
They will lower the ride height, I think that you will need shorter dog bones to raise the ride height.

Welcome in mate. I thought at first glance we had some spam to contend with. "Hello, and would you rub my feet please" :grinning:

I thought it was something nasty the likes of which I used to see working in A&E. "I just left it on a seat, forgot what I had done and sat on it, whilst not wearing any pants".....

If it is in the low position as you say, you will find the bike around 1 and a half to 2 inches higher at the back just using the eccentrics. If it is a mare to get on Centre stand that would probably confirm it.
