@Dartplayer Thank you for your informative report and the pictures of the beautiful landscape of your homeland. NZ is unfortunately so far away from Austria.
Yum! Yet more reasons to put New Zealand high on the bucket list, @Dartplayer! When is the best time to scuba dive there?
20c/68f in summer but crayfish in soft shell (Feb). I prefer the clearer waters of winter, but 18c/64f. Scallop season September to March (Spring/Summer)
Yikes but that's cold water, Dartplayer! I wear a 7mm wetsuit when the water temps are 76-78ºF! Maybe I need to get drysuit certified.
I understand. After living in the heat for more than 3 months, the blood definitely thins and you feel the cold more. I am happy with a 5mm year round and use a hood in winter
Will take a while to create video and snap shots, but now for the ride home. https://share.icloud.com/photos/0a0kNgNF7l1QRBNW9ssMY9w3g
Great post and pics, I miss NZ was there in 2006 and travelled around in an old Honda Civic. Would be cool to revisit the place and see if the bar where I worked at on Cuba Street is still there (JJ murphys)
I was working in turangi. in 1969 working for nz road makers on draglines on the power scheme when that finished was working on dozers enjoyed it while I was there bit on the cold side in winter
