I have no words. Well, I do, but I’d likely be blacklisted for posting them.. Hope they are right and the snow has hidden them.
Yes mindless hooligans. Just think Joey loaded his van with clothes toys and bits for their orphanages and kindly and free handed all those bits over so the children would be cared for and that is the thanks from their hooligans. Rest in peace Joey you are still the champ. Joe.
I wish I hadn't seen that, it's ruined my day. Stories like that get me all bitter and twisted and make me want to hurt someone, not good. It's just sickening. In addition to his many racing accolades Joey was awarded the OBE for his humanitarian work and rightly so. Visits to Joeys Bar and his and his Brother Robert's final resting place in the grounds of Garryduff Presbyterian Church are must do's for us when we go to the NW200.
Pegscraper Yes i agree with you but don't get down. You know Our Joey would have said wee man you got nothin better to do. He was a very private person and one of my great heroes. Joe
Sad and senseless. Is it intentional meanness or just wanting something for nothing? I dunno. I've recently worked with some young people (Gen-Z, under 30) who have absolutely no regrets about offering one thing, reneging and then making a less attractive deal. Over and over again. Many people have lost empathy for others. Some people say it is from schools/parents rewarding kids for just showing up, not reserving rewards until good things are accomplished.
Tripler Yes sad and senseless indeed. But it is a lot more than parents and schools. It is the times we are living in today. Can't do this can't do that unless you are in Government. Look at all these soaps on the tv these days not that i watch but my Tracy does and i get the jist of it all. Every one of them someone is murdering and burying someone else and it like an every day occasion. And as said on here about leading others on. Kids these days think it is the norm. I was in the honoured position of knowing the Dunlop's and you won't find another family as charity minded. I remember as as a lot younger teenager people like Joey tearing up the road on very loud bikes heading for the eight mile straight to Ballymoney. I think it was Joey who had a Norton I may well be wrong as there was a couple of tasty Norton's around but i listened to them go snoring past and i was in love with that sound. Joe.
What a truly sad statement about the world. It is discouraging to see that some have such little respect. It does seem to be more and more that way these days unfortunately.
I would not like to be the person/persons if Michael got his hands on them, I will comment no further as it has been said. The Armoy Armada lives on with fantastic memories we hold and that cannot be vandalised ever.
