    Hi All,

Just joined this forum, and I'm on the Triumphrat site as well. I have a 2021 Tiger 850 and I love it. I was temped by the Rally in the matte green & white, but it was too tall for me. Purchased the 850 in April this year, I've had a few trips on it, and done some moderate off road. I have a reasonable number of accessories on it, and it is now perfect for me. Best bike I've owned, by far. I also have a 2018 Vespa GTS 300. You know, just to meet chicks.

Just before the Tigerbell, I had (very briefly) a 2017 BMW F800 GS, and a 2017 V-Strom 650 before that. Yep, too many bike changes. That sort of bike swapping never goes well for the wallet or domestic situation.

The weather here has been miserably wet, as you may have seen on the news, but I'm still planning on some travels next spring and summer.

    Hi Gang,

Thanks for all the replies, and the warm welcome! OK, a couple of pics, even though it is nothing unusual. The first pic is of the bike, just after I got it home. The second, head-on pic shows the bigger windscreen & mirrors; the third is the bike loaded and about to go off on a trip, and the last one is a back end of the bike on a dirt road in the interior of BC.

I'll note the add-ons I have: the Givi windscreen, Double Take mirrors, crash bars and skid plate from Outback Motortek, Givi pannier racks with the quick release attachment, a Givi tool box that mounts to the rack, a cheap air cushion for the seat, and a cheap bottle holder that I put on the frame behind my left leg. I use a Givi top box all the time and have the adaptor hardware for a Monolock plate that also has the storage for a U-lock under the box. I can offer opinions on all that stuff. I use a variety of cheap and purpose made stuff for luggage, but I like the crash bar bags for heavier stuff like tools, and I have an ordinary 5 l. red plastic gas can for times when I don't know where the next gas station will be, though I've never been that far afield. Yep, it gets heavy, and at 61, I'm not a spring chicken. That is one of the great things about this bike; the really excellent weight distribution and balance.

I have a few really bad drone videos I might link to, but they are my first drone flights and pretty embarrassing.

I would love to ride the UK, but that may be a while off. Hoping for next summer.

Thanks Geoff. I think it is great looking. I'm really fond of it, as in, I like it. More than the 'Strom and the BMW. I know that the 900 Tigers have more fun accessories, and some of them I'd like, but the fundamentals of all the Tigers, including the 850, are really good.

My only solid complaint is the pitifully useless tach graphic. I know I can switch to the digital tach display, but then the fuel and temperature gauges go away. Ah, well, that's just something to live with.

    Cheers.
