To be totally honest back, @Cyborgbot, we did ride right past this place for years! It was our riding buddy, Kelly, who said he'd seen it when he was out at the shooting range which is off the same road and suggested we give it a try. You're so right about how we likely miss places due to quickly--and often erroneously formed opinions.
After seeing you earlier post about the temperatures you've been riding in, @Markus, it's understandable why you envy my local weather. Yikes!!
Was never happy with the silver Triumph logo on the Rocket GT. Trying out another logo but still not sure on it. Any thoughts? I may make it "logoless" as the paint job doesn't seem to lend itself to any available logos
I would think if you doubled the surface area of that logo and placed the bottom of the vee in the same place, it’s look pretty cool.
The shape of the tank makes it difficult due to it curving just above where the top of the logo is currently. It would need to be a sticker and put on by a more capable person! Something along the lines of the Bond Scrambler but not as big?
There are a lot of amazing and awesome murals all around Tucson, @SleepyOwl. I've now got the bug to do some research and some exploring to find lots more of them. Plus now my eyes are open for murals whenever I'm driving or riding through town. I'll definitely "park, pic, and post" whoever possible!
Fitted a radiator guard, as shown in my payday project thread. When I took of the cover of the bike and opened the garage for some more natural light, I could swear I heard a little sigh coming from the bike.

I don’t know why they didn’t do Triumph script in carbon fibre look, to sync with the bike but be subtle??
Seems to be a common theme with some recent releases @SleepyOwl , our Prez wanted an update for his Scrambler and our resident design man came up with below. He also changed his triple black logo too
This morning six of us met up at our usual QuikTrip gas station. It was a bit brisk starting out as the temperatures were in the high 40sºF. @Dougie D's cold weather gear description in his recent featured thread came to mind as I layered on the warm clothes including long johns and my heated vest. Yep, I'll admit it--30 years in Arizona has thinned my blood and I'm a wimp. Our agreed upon breakfast destination was Mi Pueblito in Mammoth which is about 45 miles to the northeast. I'd just been there last weekend but love the place so was more than happy to return there today. I've posted photos from this restaurant several times before so this time I thought I'd focus more on the bikes than the food--though I'd be remiss to not include something about my meal since it is a "breakfast ride" after all. When we arrived at our destination the place was so quiet I was afraid it might be closed. Nope, it was just quiet. And all of the motorcycle parking spaces were available. Dedicated motorcycles parking at a Mexican restaurant--just one of the many things I love about this place which has become a staple in our ride repertoire in the past couple of years. One of our friends on the ride today hadn't been on a Sunday ride with us in a very long time--probably at least a year--due to some health issues. We were really glad to see him when we pulled up at the gas station. And he was on his new BMW R1250RT. Our friend who recently bought a Harley Pan American was out, too. And he'd just installed his new panniers on his bike this past Friday and so far is pleased with them. He'd taken it off-road yesterday to test it out. 2020 BMW 1250GS My 2019 Speed Triple RS Mr. Sandi's 2017 Harley Street Glide And the Suzuki named Tar Baby. Its owner texted me later and said it turned over to 34K today...cool! continued....
Everyone is our group still prefers to dine outside because of Covid. Today with the temperatures cooler than normal, seating on the patio was wide open. We had to split our group of six to two tables because the seats are attached to the table and the tables are attached to the patio! But the patio has some fine views unlike the indoor dining room. Though the restaurant was quiet when we arrived, it got busy in a hurry. Here's a snap of the indoor dining area. Evidently there was to be a party for someones 60th birthday today. And the indoor dining room does have some nice art on the wall provided by local artists. Mi Pueblito makes great posole and that's what I chose today. It's a hot stew plus it's spicy hot, too. Just the thing to warm me up. I was so excited to eat my posole and homemade flour tortilla that I totally forgot to take a picture when my bowl was full and all pretty looking. But here's a photo off the aftermath. Mi Pueblitos posole (or pozole) is the red version with pork. As we were finishing up our breakfast a couple pulled up on a V-Strom. I immediately noticed the woman's helmet and when we all struck up a conversation, I asked if I could take a photo of it. Very unique! All in all todays ride was delightful--as was the breakfast. I checked my trip mileage back in the garage and showed 95 miles on the day. A great ride to end a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend.
I’m not at all jealous @Sandi T . We are working through snow and sub zero temperatures. Pot belly stove is working hard.
