Hi, I'm new to this forum and need help. I have a 2000 model triumph tiger 900 (855i) and I'm trying to source a thermostat housing and thermostat but with no luck. I have a part number from triumph for the thermostat T2102131 but not for the housing. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated thank you.

It may not be that one. I see that is for a legend or tt which are the older carbed engine not the injected 885i though they may be ok.
    Have you looked at
    fowlersparts.co.uk
    Or
    worldoftriumph.co.uk
You can check all part numbers there to see if compatible too.
    Fowlers tend to be cheaper.

It looks like neither of those 2 parts is available any longer from Triumph. From the Fowlers parts diagram it looks like the housing (part no 1.) is an assembly so I'd imagine that will need to be sourced from a breaker.

    https://www.fowlersparts.co.uk/parts/9576/tiger-885i-from-vin-71699-to-vin-124105/cooling-system

A quick trawl for the thermostat suggests that some Toyota Yaris thermostats might fit and work - at least on the 885 Adventure - but I would think your best bet might be to trudge around a few good motor factors with the old one and see if you can find an experienced parts counter guy who might recognise the size and shape and suggest an alternative.

Best of luck - and let us know the details of what you find, please. Having that type of information and experience available on a forum means that a Google search might find it for the next person who has the same problem.

    Try triumphhinckleyparts.co.uk

National Triumph in Wolverhampton UK who have an ebay shop and are also on Facebook.
    Also I would ask on
tigertriple.com in relevant section or triumphrat.com, the first one in particular are very helpful.
