A popular learner bike (round our way at least) of the 250cc days was the Honda 250 Superdream. Not the cheapest of the learner bunch and a lot more pipe and slippers compared to the manic 2 smoke offerings.

Had my share of 250n's as well. I used get the 250 and swap the engine for the 400.

Maybe a stock RD 400 :) I had more than one RD 400 ported and polished with power pipes and properly set up that would take out GS 750s from the lights and couldn't keep the front wheel on the ground in 1st and second The X7s were quick though and I could see them being stiff competition for the LC crowd I moved on to big four strokes in the early 80s before the Liquid cooled 2 strokes really took off.

1982, my favourite bike, would still have it if it hadn't been stolen in 1987...Simply brilliant, did everything you could need from a bike especially the important thing... Putting a big grin on my face everytime I rode it.

Beckett reeds, micron pipes, no back mudguard and Avon Road runners.. And it was only 3 months old in the pic.. I knew how I wanted my LC from the first day it was delivered.[/QUOTE]

Colours are a bit washed out in the old photo, but loved this bike and wish I still had it

Stan Stephens stage 1 tune, Pro-Am belly pan, Rickman fairing, Mel LeMoto Ace bars and rear sets, air fork conversion...

Very jealous of the OP's 350!

My RD250LC. Had it for a few month, inbetween big bikes in 1986. Micron pipes, Ace bars and KR paint job. Good fun.
