Quick techy question... I have a 2002 trophy 1200 t312 with screwed exhaust studs, was thinking of just getting another head, but can only find t300e heads online!!! Are they compatible? Pictures look the same apart from the 300e have side fins and the 312 doesn't.

Oh also, I can't find anywhere doing a head gasket kit for a 312 trophy either

Just rip out the studs and replace them!! They don't cost much and shouldn't be too hard (said tongue in cheek) to get out !

What is “screwed” about the exhaust studs? Seems a bit drastic to swap the whole cylinder head?

No threads left on them and nuts rusted away

Ok, if it was me I’d be looking to replace the studs before going down the route of changing the head. Best of luck with it.

I've seen a lot on the dreaded youtube about heating up the area and then trying ?
    Possibly too late now?
Ebay has stud removal tools for sale?
