Hi everyone, having failed miserably trying to find a heel/toe gear rocker lever for my 2009 America, the next best would be to adjust the height of the stock lever. I have tried research but am still unsure. Is it as simple as adjusting the link rod to raise the height? I have heard chat that says it cant be done as it affects the torque applied when changing gear. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks guys Steve
Yup you got it in 1 it will feel like it takes more effort (torque) as you say but it doesn't alter the leverage ratio at all !!
Many thanks capt, that gave me the confidence to try it, and it worked !! Very pleased, i can get my boot under the lever easily now, my bike has footboards and it was a squeeze before. Cheers
Thanks Dartplayer, it’s probably me as a newbie but I didn’t see your post don’t know what I did but can’t see it thanks for taking time to reply though regards Steve
