I presume its spinning over ok but just not firing?
Do all the electrics work ok?
    Whats the battery voltage?
Was it a runner prior to the restoration project?

Always go through the basic checks first before spending more time stripping down & throwing money at it....

    Spark plugs
    Fuses
    Battery connections
    Earth connections
    Igniton switch
    Kill Switch
    Neutral switch
    Side stand switch

If the above are all good i would suggest the ignition coil pack.

@MICK64 that post was in 2013. I am guessing (but may be wrong) that he either got it fixed or no longer gives a sh!t.

Another one (or a few) post wonders, all forums get them.

you expect the answer to a very specific problem on a particular bike, posted years ago?

    From someone not seen since?

    Good luck with that.

In all seriousness, if you have a similar problem I’d recommend posting it afresh and linking this thread to it, although there is nothing of value to share from this one (in my unqualified opinion).

I am the village (forum) idiot, or one of many. I am sure some insightful individual with a more mechanical and less critical mind will be along shortly.

I shall continue to offer my unsolicited advice on other threads.

That's 4 times, you have pestered me with your nonsense. You are becoming a real pain now. Just mind you own business, and give my comments a swerve. Meanwhile, i will try to figure out how to block you altogether. Just found the ignore button for you. Brilliant. :)

The sidestand switch on my old Sprint was at the top of the sidestand lever. If you move the stand you should see the moving end of the switch.
See other thread, neutral light issue, capt tells you where the neutral switch is. I thought the wire to it went into the left side lower case from above and had a brass or alloy washer around it. The fix i believe is to bend the washer slightly to make better contact.
