Evening people. New to the forum. I ride a 2004 Tiger 955i and a supercharged Vmax1200. bought the Tiger as a runaround when i blew the motor on the Max. Had it for a grand total of four weeks before a drunk driver took me out head on. Bought it back and repaired the damage (cat N). All mot’d and inspected now so all good. just sorting the glow worm headlights out now.

Hello mate. Re: the drunk. No unfortunately he was just fined £650 and banned for 18 months and offered a driver education course which he took. More than twice over the limit and nearly killed me when he came straight over the white line in front of me. I swerved between a parked BMW and him and hit his front drivers wing and bounced off then just hit the deck. Just bruises and a claim for my helmet even though the ins co continually badgered me to put in a injury claim again and again. They wrote the bike off for scrapes and scratches so i bought it back and fixed it up.
I think i got the gapping wrong on the piston rings when i put 8-1 low comp in to allow 15psi on the charger. Standard comp is 9-1 i think? Anyway it means i could only run up to 7psi with that pulley and belt setup. So i got the hi power setup from the States. I couldn’t see the point in doing it if i’m not going to go for the most engine power i can.

That picture was before the crash. Looks shinier now. Just need to find someone to seal the tank to prevent bubbling and i can get it resprayed.
I wanted an orange one but they all had problems with the bubbling on the tank , I might get my steamer resprayed orange and have proper tiger stripes sprayed on all the panels .
