My scrambler 1200 Xe seat height is too tall for me, I knew this when I bought it but thought I’ll be ok but as time is going by I am thinking I need to do something about it or sell it,has anyone put the low seat option on there 1200 and what do you think to it? .
You can purchase softer pre-load springs for the rear shocks which will drop the rear under load about 1 inch, and lower the front fork tubes in triple clamps for about 1 inch drop also. Video on YouTube, easy job....
Hi Shaun 64, I have an XE and had the low seat fitted when I bought it. It makes about 30mm difference and I also got the front shock adjusted by about 15mm too. After about 1200 miles, it has bedded in and I have got used to it and I just take a little more care when I have to put my foot down.
