I had a roof boxer v8 and although it looked good, that was it.
Terrible mechanism for the chin guard and visor didn’t fit correctly and let in water.
Very noisy too. I went to a shoei neotec and way better imo.
Not tried the neotec 2 though.

You’ve obviously got a Shoei head then? I’ve a Neotec 2 and just wondered what the schuberth c3 is like as I find mine a bit noisy?

The C3 was maybe a tad quieter than the Neotec at first. The Neo has spaces for the optional intercom ear pieces so I fitted two small extra pads of foam which make it a snugger fit round the ears and reduced wind noise. I found the ventilation on the C3 barely adequate and the underside of the cheek pads wore through on the collar of my jacket in no time which was annoying. I repaired them with some leather patches cut from some old riding trousers. I also find the latch more positive on the Neotec.

I thought the same until I found that the visor stops enough UV to prevent my photochromic glasses from darkening. Sunglasses are fine except when you go through trees or a wood etc and suddenly its all dark! So now i have an HJC with built in sun visor controlled via a slider on the underside edge of the chin piece - the shell is not compromised and it gets SHARP 4* rating. Also has grooves for glasses so I wear said photochromic glasses without problems, and nice to have when out and about but off the bike.
