So the GF's document shredder was really having a tough time. So I decided to lube it with some DRY Teflon spray lubricant. So I got a pair of needle nose pliers ran it in reverse, and pull out all the stray bits of paper. Gave it a couple of good sprays, and put the lid back on. I thought I would try it out and grabbed a piece of paper and fed it in. It made a big POOF like sound (small explosion). I quickly grabbed the bin portion and raced to the nearest exit door. By that time there was a 6-in ball of flames rapidly consuming the loosely shredded paper. Picture this, a guy in boxer shorts running outside his home looking for a place to dump the flaming mess. So I guess butane is still a cheap eco-friendly propellant!

I bet the neighbours had a bit of a shock seeing you in ur grundies!

Hope you hadn’t a ‘morning glory’ to make the situation worse.

    Eco friendly, not human friendly

'Do not apply on or around energized electrical equipment'. 'EXTREMELY FLAMMABLE.' Hmm... On this side of the pond, we have a saying: "If all else fails, read the instructions." (Not saying we always do, though.)
