Well, strangely, l am suddenly being told my pics are too large to post, despite having changed nothing...... So try to use your imagination. Me wrestling a polar bear while rafting down the Amazon...... Kate Moss doing me a bacon sarnie after the night of her life.....
Minnie, the unfeasibly energetic Cockerpoo at the top of Laddow Rocks. I don't think she actually notices gradients
I use an app called image size, it’s free to download so let’s see those bear and Ms Moss pics please
I've had the same thing happen when posting photos to the forum, but (seemingly) randomly. When I get the occasional photo that says it's too big to load I just do a quick screen shot of it and then it always loads. Go figure. It's all magic anyway!!
And FastStone is another resizer if you're working on Windows pc (what I've used for these posts), my original full res shots are circa 15mb, I think image size is limited to about 3mb on the forum from what I've tried uploading. Anyway, typical Bank Holiday weather so no ride out today, killing time at the pc. So a few more shots from Seattle........ The jets of the fountain in the park were sync'd to Beatles music being played over a speaker system, made a couple of Brits feel right at home.
I snapped a few more cactus photos on my morning walk. This is another type of prickly pear cactus. And here are more mighty saguaros with their beautiful small dainty white blossoms.
Went for a walk t’other day, got a new phone, took a couple of snaps on it. Ox Stones, nr. Sheffield A cow wearing mud socks.
I didn't even need to leave the front yard yesterday morning to take a photo of this cactus bloom! This was the first bloom of the season on one of our cereus cacti. The plants bloom overnight and the flowers only last through the next morning. The flowers are quite large--this one was larger than my hand with fingers outstretched. They are truly beautiful and this was the first of (hopefully) many this spring.
I got a few more shots of the cereus cactus and their gorgeous blooms before they've now finished up for the season. In that first photo, that's the most blooms at one time that we've ever seen on one of our plants! We were out with some friends one night and when we came home we saw these two blooms that had opened after dark!
Been wading through some old paper photos (remember them!) we came across in a drawer today and found this one, circa Nov '95, of my Collie, Tilly at 8 weeks old and our cat who was at least 10yrs at the time. Can't be more precise than that as she turned up on the doorstep in deep snow, Winter '86/87 and just sort of moved in with us. This pic followed 10 mins of a frantic dog/cat chase round the house until the cat stood her ground and scratched Tilly's nose, leading to a silent stand off. Tilly passed in 2011 but I can remember it like it was yesterday.
Just back from a week's vacation in Maine. Some lighthouse pics. Portland Head light, Bug Light, Pemaquid Point light, a home owner built yard ornament in South Bristol
