Hopefully your weather improves soon, Steve, as I'm looking forward to that proper report and more photos. :sun::cool::)

I gave you the benefit of the doubt, Steve, and blamed it on autocorrect--which I've come to call auto incorrect. ;):joy:

Although we have a mixture of sun and showers this week, I managed to dodge them this morning whilst out on the Tiger with work.
Thought I'd take the XSR out this evening as the weather looked good but all I did was alert the Tracker company 'cos I forgot the fob! One embarrassed phone cal and all sorted - at least I know it works!

Definitely the right bike for the twisty back roads - the wider (40mm) than standard bars really help you to throw it into the corners. The engine is smooth and throttle response is predictable with no hint of sbatchiness at low speeds.
Brakes are good, plenty of feel in the front so no problem stopping. I haven't sat on the standard XRS but apparently the seat on this model is 30mm higher making it perfect for me and slightly better than my previous bonneville. (The SE seat is slightly lower than the T100 one so I used to feel a wee bit cramped after a couple of hours).

Terrific photos and a great initial review, Steve! But I am wondering what "sbatchiness" is. Is that another auto incorrect or a is it something akin to snatchiness?

"Sbatchiness" the inability to realise that autocorrect has changed a perfectly typed, correctly spelled word into meaningless gibberish"

My autocorrect feature seems to take correctly typed words and change them to gibberish or a word completely unrelated to the context more often than it actually make a correct correction. And "text-to-speech" produces even more silliness! I have learned (the hard way) to always proofread a text before sending it when I use the text-to-speech feature. I've sent off a few with some very unprofessional words--that I never said!:scream:

You should try speech to text with a Northern Irish accent :joy:

My mate across the road has one of these XSR 700s. His is in the speed block yellow with a little short exhaust and for me looks a nicer cleaner bike. However, we’re all different and that’s a great thing. Otherwise we’d all be riding the same bike. The engine is an absolute peach. It’s a lovely looking bike but the white one with the overly long exhaust system just looks a bit cobbled together.
As I said, luckily we all like different designs and colours.

The only thing that matters is if the owner likes their bike.

The bike came with the short exhaust, which is in a box in the loft.
It doesn't sound anywhere near as good :D:D
