Nice to get out and about this weekend with good weather and quiet roads all around. Plenty of bikes to be seen through out the day, taking in parts of Carmarthenshire and Powys. Didn't take any pictures apart from these few at a socially distanced tea break in Llandovery on the way back. Covered just over 100 miles and just great to be back out on the Speedmaster and in the sun.
Favorite day out. Early start from Bristol, over the bridge to the homeland. Breakfast at the Steel Horse, then mostly minor roads through the Beacons to Llandovery to fill up and have a short break at the cafe. Over the Black Mountain and back. Up to Llanwrtyd Wells then to Abergwesyn, up the Devil's Staircase and the mountain road to Tregaron. Back down to Llandovery past Llyn Brianne. A40 and A470 to Cardiff for a coffee with my sister, and home down the M4.
Hey @Bikerman, hope you get some of this good weather when you visit. Whereabouts are you intending to ride when you're here?
Some classic roads there @garethr. Love the road through to Abergwesyn and up the staircase. Used to use the Devil's Staircase quite a bit when road rallying back in the 80/90s. Always a lump in the throat hurtling down hill and calling out "hairpin left" and hoping driver can scrub the speed off in time. Steel Horse bike nights are a good crack when they start again, good food too.
