Hi all very new to Triumph but looking forward to the delivery of a Steve McQueen 1200 Scrambler SE in May (hopefully). Very excited. I confess to having owned several German boxer twins before but never a Triumph twin. Cant wait! First piece of advice Im looking for is ...am thinking of additional LED driving lights...any recommendations? Chris
Hi Chris only recommendation from me is don't angle them to blind other people like BMW GS riders seem to
Hi chris! Welcome in and enjoy! Not sure about the lights but I’m sure you will get some help along soon sir.
Mariner64. Got to be careful with the led's these days as they have made or are going to make them a mot failure. But welcome to the family. And send us all a picture of the steed when it arives. Joe.
They changed that a little while back - the beam pattern mush be correct, but LED lights are no longer an immediate fail
Welcome Chris. I had Denali on my R1200R and was very impressed. I've gone for PIAA on my Scram as they feel a bit more "classic" looking
Problem is that BMW only sell fog lights which, if you read the blurb in detail, points out that they should be only be used where vision is severely limited. Of course those that fit them leave them on all the time. The Denali lights and can smart system, which is an excellent alternative to the BMW system allows you to install driving lights (as well as fog lights if you wish) and switch them on only in conjunction with high beam
