Greetings, bought a Speed Twin last week and looking to enjoy my second Triumph. The first was a circa 2008 Scrambler, Lime Green and carbureted. Sold it when I moved from Southern California to New Hampshire about 13 years ago. Been stuck in the house with three kids and a MIL for over a year and decided to "reward" myself with a few bikes. Hoping to get some good ideas and make like-minded acquaintances here.

Greetings and welcome to the forum, BiMiWi, and welcome back to the world of riding! Bikes seem like a wonderful "reward". ;):) You mentioned rewarding yourself with "a few bikes". Hmmm, what others do you have your eye on?? Or are they already in your garage??

I’ve got a 2021 Harley-Davidson Iron 1200 and 2019 Kawasaki Z400 to keep the Speed Twin company. I also bought one of those Chinese dual sport bikes from Amazon just for kicks.

Cool! Nice diverse stable. I do have to say that you're the first person I've ever known to buy a motorcycle from Amazon! :p:joy: It really does seem like one can buy anything on Amazon these days.....

This video is what convinced me the bike couldn't be that bad. And it's not. Sure, it rides like an 80's reject, but the thing starts every time and can be perpetually repaired with super cheap parts from ebay. It's the bike that will still be chugging along after the apocalypse, along with KLRs. In the meantime, before the SHTF, I'll be enjoying my Speed Twin, which for some reason reminds me of early Ducati Monsters the way it sounds and drives off of corners.
