I'm working towards Monday April 12th. Forecast looks ok, l've kept the day clear of bookings. :)

Well, Boris the Bozo has given the green light so all looks good. What l did discover the other day is that the Via Gellia will be closed all of that week. I think it's the stretch between Cromford and the crossroads at Hollybush lnn. Just be aware of it if you're out and about that way. :)

Lucky man. There, we've just entered a new 4 weeks lock down.. We can freely ride, but not further 10 km around home. o_O

Yes, progress, if only small. I feel extremely sorry about what's happening in Europe, a very difficult time for you.

Looking at the forecast, the temp will be 1c when I'm due to set off and 2c when I get to Longnor. That's a wee bit too cold for me, it takes the pleasure out of it somewhat. So unless the forecast changes, I'm going to cancel on this. :sob::(

I've done a bit of a circle around there before. Quite a pleasant route which could involve an ice cream stop o_O

Years ago there was a famous American football game played in brutal cold which became known as the lce Bowl. The commentator said "l think l'll take a bite of my coffee" let's hope we can dodge that bullet! :worried:

Being the new guy to this forum or any forum actually, please point me in the right direction if I am out of line.

But it seems two things regarding this ride out.
    1. The weather
    2. Being in the week.

I am impacted by weather, but being retired no problem in the week. I have been so interested in this ride out and will be really disappointed if the cold weather prevents me riding. BUT having kindled this spark it would be a shame not to take this opportunity to use this thread to promote other ride opportunities when the weather improves either in the week or weekend.

So anyone with interest with say riding later in the week when the weather seems to be getting better or somewhere anyone fancies riding when weather gets a little warmer, I’m up for it if anyone else is

There's a small group of us that get together for rides in the Peak/Derbyshire area. We tend to meet at either Cobbles Cafe in Longnor or Yondermans which is fairly nearby. Keep an eye on this section.

We go to Yondermans quite a bit, not on the Triple, but on the blunder bus.
