These kevlar underwear can be used under normal blue jeans. Don't have to worry about getting oil or mustard stains on your expensive riding trousers, used to have pockets for knee and Butt armor. I guess now you have to sew your own on.

 

wear want you want as far as i'm concerned. The more protection, the better you'll end up if you have a spill. were all adults alledgedly....

As regards the programme i think its been a good watch as it goes off the beaten track, and I like si & dave too.

 

And we have loads of the damn things. Interestingly we use them as urinals too.

Surely there was something quintessentially American you could have snapped?

@Cyborgbot . Lots of quintessential Americana 1930-1940's petrol stations that were abandoned or repurposed along the route. Main streets of the towns we went through were filled with interesting shops, but it was Easter Sunday and we were in a hurry to get back home. Seen many bikers along the route, and a few classic cars cruising route 66. The trip home was 4 1/2 hours of which only about an hour and a half was on route 66. Hopefully this summer I will be able to return on the motorcycle and take my time and snap a few more pictures.
