I recently purchased a 2020 T120 brand new. Have not ridden it yet, being up here in the Catskills. The stock seat seems fine sitting in the garage, but mileage will tell. Is the comfort seat actually more comfortable?

No idea about the T120 seat.
My 2015 Newchurch seat looked fine, really suited the bike's lines, but comfort was clearly never a consideration when this offering was put onto the bike.
I was forced to have the seat reupholstered and made more comfortable, that was about 2-3 years ago.
It was considerably cheaper than the comfort seat available from Triumph.
Trouble is, as time passes I'm getting a bit fed up with the seat and am even considering looking for a used standard seat to have as an alternative.
In your case, I'd wait until I'd got some decent trips / mileage under my belt until I worried too much about the comfort, it's the only way to see how it shapes up.

I have a 2018 T120 that I have had for about 18 months. The stock seat reminds me of the seats that were on the Triumphs when I was 17 years old (1970). Although they may look classic, I found it uncomfortable after about an hour, maybe it is my age. I went with a Corbin Gunfighter & Lady seat. It provides support, keeps me from sliding back, and is more substantial on my rather substantial backside. I am prejudice, I have had Corbins on my last 4 bikes, the support they provide is second to none.

I've owned Corbins in the past, but I never will again. The customer "support" they gave me years ago was horrible. They were even rude to me on the phone. My question about the comfort seat remains unanswered.

The company that put gel packs in my T120 seat (Saddlecraft) said that the "comfort" seat just has a bit more foam in it. Gel packs put in my stock seat cost a lot less than a new seat and they work. Cost about £100 ( bloody sight cheaper than comfort seat)and got seat back same week I sent it off. Done around 5k miles since re upholster and happy I had it done.

Looks like you'll have to answer this question yourself.
    One size doesn't fit all.

I’ve got a Thruxton 1200, I find the stock seat more comfortable than the comfort seat I was given with the bike!?!

Hi, I've got the comfort seat on my T120. It is definitely more comfortable than the standard seat which is a bit like a board. The comfort seat is much more compliant but still nice and supportive. It also looks great!!

I've took triumph seats apart in the past to try and put more foam in them. The problem is these days they use some sort of moulded liquid foam to form the complex shapes, its much harder than traditional foam.

I had a stock seat on my 2013 T100 and didn’t think much of it, it was ok for 45 mins max but that was all. I have now fitted a Triumph “touring seat” from a 2003-or-so model and it is much better.

I've got a 2017 T100, replaced the stock seat with a Triumph comfort seat within a few weeks. Big improvement in comfort, less butt fatigue and much better looking than stock IMO.

The windscreen also came from the same earlier bike. The mounting brackets took a little fettling, but nothing too much.

The panniers are now on my early-90s Sportster. They didn’t fit the pannier supports, and the bike now has modern Oxford soft bags.
