I love it! Just had mine fitted along with heated grips and a rubber tank pad. I didn’t have long to play after it was fitted but it’s very smooth at the right revs. If pootling not so much but not needed then anyway. I’ve found it’s made my riding more aggressive straight away though. Could be a bad thing I suppose. I’ve always enjoyed ‘banging down the box’ ( with proper mechanical sympathy) but the auto blipper is better than me. Seems it needs higher revs and closed throttle mind.
It's class innit, I've only used the blipper down shifting a handful of times.... It just feels wrong to me I can't get my head around it hahaha
Yes defo, first time I’ve found myself forgetting to brake as I’m enjoying the bike using its gearbox. Makes a mess of gas to go, brakes to slow!
Is anyone else having issues with the quick shifter? Mine works fine except when up shifting from 4th to 5th under hard acceleration. Im thinking it’s just an electronic issue and not mechanical. The engine revs up as if it’s in a “fake neutral” and then kicks in gear... it’s breaks my heart every time anyway, I’m getting it checked next week.
Yes I had the same problem..... took it back and sods law on test it worked fine for them. The lad did notice the position of the lever was high, so he moved it down..... seems to be ok but not had much time to ride it unfortunately.
Hi there luke i was having the same problem as yourself it got worse too my tiger 1200 with only 6k miles is currently in glasgow triumph being fitted with a new gearbox as it totally failed , luckily its still under warranty so will be fixed at no cost to me ,, i hope you got yours fixed
Sorry to hear about your Tiger...I wouldn't want to go through all of that nightmare again. I ended up getting a replacement bike under warranty. New one purrs like a tiger! (Pun intended). Hopefully yours gets sorted out quickly. Cheers!
Yes, I've just started having the same issue. Only 2 yrs old, done 35,000 Kilometers. the last couple weeks, this has started. ???? Any ideas for a cheap, quick fix. I'm out of Warranty in the next week or so. Do they need adjustments??
Hi chrissy. There is a recall on the shift assist that "should" prevent false neutrals on the shift assist. Some report no difference and some do. The arm that connects to the gear selection shaft now gets a little "cut out" and it now means that it doesn’t foul the frame. I'd switch off shift assist via the menu until its been replaced (free) and they've had a look as some horror stories have been reported about the box.
Thanks, I've already had the recall on that little cut out piece early on in the purchase. Yes, was thinking maybe turn off the shift assist, but hard not too when loving it.
I have too, the same problem, but my bike it's in Mexico, the dealership have my bike since 2 weeks ago, because they don't have idea of the issue, the call to the triumph motorcycle Ltd. To give them THE DRIVERS , if it's a problem of the main computer
