I've fitted a nice new topbox to the Street.

    Very aerodynamic....not
Needs must. I did Spain last year on my tiger. I had a top box (Givi) & a roll bag, my mate on a str had Krieger..great stuff but what a lot of faffing about at the end of a long day. Top box gets my vote every time;););)

I have lady ballast on the back too . There's also gonna be soft panniers and a huge tank bag.

Oh my wife won't like being called lady ballast.

Got the bike out today, first real ride since coming out of hospital in January, warm enough thank fcuk, wont be 3 days thawing out!!!
That was the decider, wife talked me out of it, now..............................NOT SELLING!!!!!!!!!
Gave it a good blast down the M8, thought I saw 3 figures on the clock at one point;).
Sticking back brake seems to be sorted too after I stripped and cleaned it, cost me the Moffat ride out though, couldn't get it finished in time enough to get there.
Just have to accept its now a summer activity, and will have to find some sort of winter storage for it, cant have it kept under a canopy again next winter.
I'll let my eBay add run, just to see what the interest would have been.
Still not got my rear tyre changed yet so I have a pair of Avons, the BT45 seems to be fine in the dry so I'll wear that out and put the newan on for the October MOT, unless it starts playing up!
I'll be trotting upto Falkirk booty then drop in to Armadale dog track tomorrow, any Bonnie spotters see a red one it'll be me!

Faffing about in garage making a warning light repeater console for my Speedmaster using a small plastic project box, some coloured LED's and mounting a piezo electric buzzer in it to remind me about the indicators. Now all I need is some 'electric string' a multi connector and some clamps to fix it between the bar mounts and I'll be well chuffed.:D

Was riding along city centre Dublin, spotted a lovely 2010 modded Bonnie, had to stop for a chat:

    IMG_1010.JPG

The owner bought it off an old man, who spent all his energy doing the faring himself, only for the doctors to tell him "no more riding, boy, heart won't take it". o_O

Really sweet mod, and very well done. The fairing has a light built-in, so the original headlamp is rendered useless.

    IMG_0995.JPG
    IMG_1001.JPG

The fairing is apparently very stable. A job well done.

    IMG_0996.JPG

My T100 felt very "stock" next to it. The two Bonnies gathered a small crowd around them!
Lovely chat, lovely fella, lovely bike.

For the last two weeks I've been trying to scrape together the money to fix her.
8th of April, I got a phone call to say my new job started the next Friday.
    Aye, 'bout time!

Decided to go buy some drink to celebrate!
Barely eaten all day, feeling dizzy, no room downstairs to cook with my brothers mates filling up the room for no apparent reason, ah big deal.
The place is 5 minutes away, nothing bad happens in 10 minutes.
    Wow the sun's out too!
Fuck it, I'll just wear the cut, the jacket can stay inside!

Felt too funny to even open the garage door the first time I tried but I still ignored myself when I said it wasn't ok to ride.
Pff, whatever, huh? Finally something to celebrate, I ain't gonna pause while I'm in good spirits.

Didn't even get around the first corner away from the house. Fuck.

My elbow kept the rest of my body from touching the road for about 5 metres, managed to hit a pothole along the way, too!
That'll leave a scar. Most of the bright red down from that big hole all came off, there's a big old trench down my arm.

You can all rib me now for being a twat for a day on the wrong day, 'cause I sure as hell didn't get to start that job!

Hi Messart, sorry to hear about your 'off' and it's consequences - get well soon eh?

Yes, you were being a twat - but you know that already, so there's no need for me to tell you, is there ?:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Hi Mischa that's a fairing that was very popular in the 60's, so looks particularly good on the Bonny. Thanks for the pics.

Ouch! Sorry to hear about this - I bet that hurt when Nursie rubbed the dirt out with her Iodine and pan scrubber! (non too pleasant memories following my "off" last June). As biglad says - yes, you were a twat but no one knows that more than you. :(
    Speedy recovery mate. :D
