Nope me too. I nearly bought an RS a few years back but I couldn't bring myself to buy one in matt. I said this to the salesman and he said he'd never heard that before.
While I was stood umming and erring another man arrived, who had cash to buy one and said EXACTLY the same thing. The salesman had a very sheepish look when he looked over at me!

No definitely not just you - I bought the matt black one because I like black, but I shan't be buying another matt one, it's not worn well at all, I wish Triumph would stop with the whole idea that matt is a good thing.

So there we have it then.

Just over £15k in the UK and 180PS = 177/8 BHP.

I got a great deal buying mine new last year through a long term relationship with my dealer and a price I was happy with. Don't want to sound harsh, but for the cash I think I'd test ride a Tuono first.

They should have kept the high level exhausts. It’s lost it’s character imo

You can always get it sprayed gloss, be a few hundred pounds to get it done, plus possibly some new decals.

After watching the presentation I have to say the bike looks really good in my opinion. And it got a new dash design that isn't the train wreck of the Street Triple. Bit disappointed if the round dial design is the only one, though, since I preferred the wider half-moon design the old bike had.

Also the muffler looks really bad in my opinion. I like that it's a "low boy", but I wish the muffler itself would have looked more like previous arrow ones. This new design reminds me of:

But other than that I really like it!

Copy and paste from other speed triple thread...
About bloody time, well done Triumph :)
Genuinely like it, it's lighter, it's got the power to bring it in line with its competitors in the super naked class, its got a keyless fuel cap to go with the ignition and they do a GLOSS black one with red details
Did anyone catch if it has separate wheelie and traction control? That would still be a deal breaker for me!.. but so far I'm impressed and will, at some stage have a test ride :grinning:

conservative looks for a top of the range "sport" bike.

Prefer a low exhaust myself, it's lighter, lower mass, and more practical as its easier to carry luggage!
Edit: not to mention, half the price if you want to add an aftermarket can which I suspect everyone will!

What don't you like? My only gripe is the one headlight for dip and high beam, I like both lights lit all the time. Thats a pretty minor gripe though

I really like it all, especially the gloss black. QS standard fit now too. Even like the standard can.
£185 for a flyscreen & £95 for a flyscreen visor is expensive for what would be must have's for me

The keyless ignition and colour options are my main gripes, I like the black, but I'd love the early Speed Triple colour options we used to have!

I've had full keyless for 3 years now on the ktm, when the filler cap is keyless too, its actually brilliant! No more putting you gloves on then realising the key is in your pocket :) do agree on Triumphs colour options though. But at least we now have a gloss black which would be my choice!

Am sure I would get used to keyless, but there is something reassuring seeing the key in the bike (except when you forget to remove the key from the bike lol).
Yup, black is the only option as is gloss... down with the matt, down with the matt... :D
