Looking for input to a problem 765 head gasket gone could it have been caused by the valves being checked /adjusted causing a fault with the head gasket as just been serviced and this has occurred
Ian Street. Very much doubt it if it was done by a trained technician. And they wouldn't admit it anyway. But ask the question and see what happens. Or take it to another dealer and ask them to check for foul play. Joe.
Won't be down to having valves adjusted there is no way that they could cause any problems with a head gasket....just one of those things how old is the bike and what is the mileage?
19 plate 20k just had late full service there fault with delay 8k late i think this has not helped only done 13 days ago then this hsppens
Head gaskets can fail at any time for a variety of reasons to uneven head torque, from a loose head bolt, corrosion form coolant jacket or even a bit of detonation.
Doesn't appear the 765 engine requires the head bolts checking/torqueing as part of any (major) service, just a one off camshaft timing adjustment and that shouldn't have disturbed the head gasket. Perhaps just coincidence,
