Hi.I have a 2019 Speed Twin which on 3 occasions recently has stalled whilst braking and shifting down gears. Was wondering if anyone else on a speed twin has experience of this.I had a simalar problem on my 2012 Tiger 800 which was cured by a regular spray of WD40.Does the Speed Twin have a simalar set up.Replies and info much appreciated.

Got around 6800 miles on my speed twin, not even the slightest hint of an issue.

I found my bike did it if i blip the throttle more than once with the clutch in sometimes so i just blip it once on the downshift now.

That's potentially very dangerous, as I'm sure you know. My Street Twin occasionally feels like it's about to cut out but so far it never has. If no-one on here can supply a solution I'd get it to a dealer. Hope you find a cure.

Hi.It has not done it again since I posted this spread!I was thinking now I have done more miles maybe the engine has loosened up slightly but I do not know for sure why it had misbehaved in the first place.Regards.

Hi Batts, are you in sport mode all the time? This happened to me in the summer and I took it into my local dealer and they said the bike doesn’t like town riding in sport mode. I had done a lot of miles over a few days, but quite a bit was in town traffic and on and off the throttle. They reset it for me and said to put it in standard mode when in towns or slow roads and it has been fine ever since. It is a scary experience as you go to pull away and it just cuts out, it happened to me as I was pulling off a roundabout just about to go onto a motorway! Hope this helps

Its possible as I tend to leave it in sport mode. Each time mine stalled was on hard decelleration going into a corner so not ideal but as I said hasn't done it anymore but will take onboard road mode in town.Thanks.

I had a similar problem on my street twin. Dealer sorted it with new plug caps.
