Yes I hope so. This is my first Triumph so I haven't a clue how I'll be treated by this dealer, hopefully I won't have to threaten them with 'Google Reviews' lol... that tends to get you what you want these days :D

I've always found the reach to the forward foot controls on my Speedmaster a bit of a stretch, so I've been looking out for a solution to the leg stretch.

Today I finished swapping the standard rider footpegs for a Norman Hyde foot peg relocation kit. The kit brings the front pegs 4" closer to the rider. This combined with the pull back risers I fitted a couple of weeks ago now make the riding position a lot more comfortable.

Here's the before and after pics…………….

Raining here today so decided to nock up a set of brackets for my speedy, so that when I ride to the black forest inJune my throw over panniers wont rest on my rear indicators when fitted. This is because my tail tidy has brought the indicater further forward. So good use of the morning. Also of to the moffat gathering on Saturday, hope the weather improves?

Yes, the relocation kit certainly make the riding position much more comfortable. I'm looking forward to doing a long ride so see the difference.

Mine is still in bits waiting for valve shims. In the meantime I have started cleaning all the nooks and crannies. There seems to be more and more parts coming off him as I find more to clean and paint. Still, I always think you don't know your vehicle (car or bike) until you have spent some time with the spanners etc. His character is starting to come through now though. (Yes, I know I need to get more but 'things' have souls too).

Hi Scoot. Glad moving the pegs made the improvements.
Since your original post I've checked the Norman Hyde kit out on the 'interweb', looks like a simple mod to carry out it makes me wonder why Triumph haven't come up with it as an optional extra.

Yes, I'm pleased with the outcome.
Prior to getting the Norman Hyde kit off ebay at a reasonable pice, I was looking into fabricating some flat plate brackets which would do the same job. It was re-routing the rear brake pipe / master cylinder which may have be problematic

Hi Peter, unfortunately I have now disassembled it as I dont go away until 22nd June. But basicaly I bought A shaped piece of metal which is made to fit onto the rear of your no plate so that you can connect a bungie to it, I then got some angled metal that I fixed to the other piece and then a straight piece that then I bolt onto the rear footrest it is very basic but keeps my throw-overs nicely in situ and only takes five mins to dissassemble. However it is likeky that I will try to make some improvements before my hols, so when I am finished will post Pics remember (life's to short to grow up) regards Lou:)

Last night (is that allowed) I put all the luggage frames on the Street R as a pre holiday check. Poor girl doesn't deserve the abuse she looks awful when she's got panniers a topbox and tank bag on her.

Suppose it'll all be worth it... only six weeks to go...

Oh, tonight's job, take all the gubbins back off.
