    Really glad you decided to come back Joe. Initially I came on here to try to sell a bike and just see what this was about. Being seriously outnumbered by blokes on here, I didn’t feel I would be wanted ( bring out the violins :sob::sob:). But after getting a bit of a hard time from Nodrog you said so many things that made me feel I did belong and you and your posts have been one of the main reasons I have stayed ( sorry Duck!!). I haven’t been on here much of late, but now I have a good reason to check in more often :):)

    Thanks. Yes I remember the time the 765 was the topic. But you belong here even more than I. You are a great rider and do get out there and use you steed so the family is the place for you. And I wish we could attract more Lady riders even things out a bit. But we will get there. And I blame a certain Lady who has my mail who would gently say every so often. Joe did you see this on the forum. But she is lovely and I have so much respect for her. But glad you are back with us.
    Joe.:cool::)

    Everyone needs a distillery. But I don't drink even though i was brought up in Bushmills. Used to see the pigeons fall over there and the rats were always pissed.

    Joe I was dragged in the Cotswolds and everyone and his dog made cider. The amounts of rats that fell in to the vats was incredible but as the farmers used to say : adds to the flavour lad.

    Cider. Well I can tell you a story about that stuff. Many years ago we went to Cheddar Gorge in Somerset. I rode with a lot of bikers then. We stayed at a small farm called Lukars. He came out and said you boys want some scrumpy I said yes thinking it was just an apple drink. So low and behold I downed this kit as much as I could and each one felt better than the last. This was the Friday night. On the Sunday one of the boys had to hire a van to take me and the bike back home. And to this day I still remember nothing of that weekend. I am sure you worked it out I have never touched it since.

    Yes so do I. And may I say you are the major reason I have stayed. You are my shining light and caring and helpful. And your stories are to me the best so colourful and explanatory just like a good novel.
    Joe.

    Sadly Joe it was also my nemesis, I did at one time build quite a tolerance to it and used to watch the tourists with some amusement but one day just went that one to many and like your self do not go within an inch of it now,

    Always drink scrumpy in half pint glasses. It creeps up on you so very fast.

    ... we were on Easter rugby tour with Stewarts & Lloyds RFC staying in Paignton. Five of us Grammar School lads were in the squad (1st XV tight head prop, me). We'd played Totnes RFC on Saturday and with no game planned for Sunday the men decided to take the team coach over to Weymouth to go on the lash and visit some 'mens' entertainment'. As we lads were all under 18 they refused to take us. So we walked the seven miles back to Totnes and found this small pub. We ordered five pints of scrumpy. Don't ask me how we fell for it but the locals persuaded us that real scrumpy is best drunk with a tot of vodka in it ... settles it down apparently.

    So, five of us, five rounds. It was strong stuff. No idea how we got back to our hotel ... it was a longer walk back I do know, seeing as how we got lost.

    And the worst of it was, Ricki, Perky and I were roused from our drunken slumber to get a Sunday greasy breakfast down us and on to the coach to go play a Welsh touring side who the men had met in Weymouth and had arranged to play. So they had stayed sober for the game. And to cap it all the Welsh team offered our star centre (a Welsh lad) a well paying job and boot money to move back to Wales, which he did.
