They finally called me to tell me my bike is ready. Now too cold to ride. I will found out what was exactly wrong with it. Thanks

Hi guys! I am new here, but I want to ask you if you have some kind of vibration/sound/resonance when hitting 3500-4000 rpm in 4th and 5th gears going full throttle? I just experience this after my 1000 km first service and I don't know what could generate that thing. It sounds like something from the driveshaft or gearbox. Otherwise the bike runs perfectly smooth and with all power ahead

    Hello there,
I am about to pull the trigger on a 2020 Rocket 3 GT, I got approved and just waiting to go pick up the bike and sign the loan...
I am very concerned about reading all comments (no only here) but all over R3GT owners complaining about so many issues...
But I believe I am a bit anxious about so many problems (issues) I heard about the bike so far, like oil leakage, ignition failure, rear break air (break failure) and transmission issues in early life of the bike...I SWEAR I AM SCARED to pull the trigger, even though I already got approved and am picking it up next week (December 10, 2020) ! Any inputs from anyone would be very much appreciated, as I still have time to walk away from the deal. Cheers

@Luiz Laba I started this thread.

I say: buy the bike, don't worry about it, and ride it. It's a good bike. It's better than good, it's an absolute hoot. It's just British-made, that's all :joy:

To be honest, I've had 3 bikes in my relatively short riding life, all new when I got them, all Triumphs, and every single one had it's niggles and issues, the worst one is/was my TBird Commander. The rear brake fade is the only real issue left with the Rocket for me, and whilst it's 'serious', keep an eye on it, and complain to Triumph about it if/when it gets spongey - the more people that do, the sooner they'll sort it for good, hopefully!

I would honestly say not to worry. Most bikes (I think) have some teething problems, but I've had mine for about 11 months, and I absolutely love it. Annoying the bluetooth never worked for me, and the rear brake is also an annoyance, but brakes are for wimps anyway :imp:

To anyone reading this, I just called the service manager at my local dealer who's bled my brakes twice for me already, and is very sympathetic (and frustrated) about the whole rear brake issue on the Rocket.

She just told me that as of yesterday, they had a service bulletin from Triumph that the rear brakes should be bled whenever a Rocket comes in for a service or anything else. Apparently owners should be getting emails about it soon too.

This is obviously short of a recall, but in her opinion is the first step along the way to one. Presumably they're trying to figure out what the fix would actually be, and how to implement it worldwide in a relatively cost effective way.

So anyway, as to the worst issue with the Rocket, your dealer should be happy to bleed your brakes every 6 months or so for you, and whilst inconvenient, hopefully at least it will go some way to assuaging your fears that Triumph are at least noting there seems to be an issue.

Luiz, I work at a Triumph dealership where we've sold numerous new Rockets. As often with new models there have been a few minor issues with a few bikes, but nothing so serious as should put you off what all our owners describe as a fantastic bike.

    Thanks mate,
I am doing lots of research and it does not seem to be MAJOR issues, as all my other bikes had issues as well, FUNNY ENOUGH the only bike I beat in 6 months put MANY HOURS non-stop and have about 9K MILES is my 2020 Road Glide Special, that thing got me scared when I bought it, but ZERO issues and very happy with it.
It looks like a R3GT will be in my garage soon.
Will keep you guys updated and will send a picture of it.
    Thanks again
    Cheers
