Never say never, Wessa. I didn't start riding until I was 52. I certainly never thought I'd become a motorcyclist when I was 39 and 41--in fact I never thought about motorcycles at all back then. So you just never know what the future may hold.
My best girlfriend took her class/test and started riding when she was 61. Another girlfriend of mine did the same at age 60. I agree that it's never too late. Well, maybe "never" is a bit strong but I know a number of people who started riding much later than anyone would think they would...or should.
My ex didn't get her licence until she was 40, and it was her that got me back on bikes after not riding for several years. My son has little to no interest in bikes My daughter keeps saying she wants to get her licence, but so far has done no training . However for many years she has worked for a media company that almost exclusively works with some of the large motorcycle manufacturers, and she is involved in many bike racing events like Moto2 and the IOM TT
My son had a 50cc ped when he was going to college. Always seemed to break down or wouldn't start but more than likely he was skiving! My step daughter booked a CBT and bought a Honda cbf 125 off eBay, pretty much without involving us (well her mum anyway!). She passed her test in July and I sold her my Bonneville.

My son is 28 years old and he's been riding since he was a kid. He started off on a KX80. We also had a KLF250 quad bike he and his older sister used to ride. He got a TZR50 moped when he was 16. Currently he has a Yamaha MT09 for the road and a Kawasaki ZX600 track bike. I'm not sure how old he was when I took the quad photo, 6 or 7 I guess. His sister would like a bike but she's got an 18 month old girl and is about to give birth again (a boy this time) so bikes aren't exactly top of the shopping list for her right now. I enjoy going out road riding with him, I know everyone thinks their kids are brilliant, but he's a steady away road rider, doesn't take risks and we always have fun when out and about on two wheels together, I'm pleased he has a track bike so he can ride hard on the track where there aren't any myopic loonies coming the other way (at least I sincerely hope so!).
My eldest grandson has a Honda 115cc twist'n'go but he's taking driving lessons as well but I hope he'll keep a bike. His dad (my eldest son aged 43) wants to do his CBT on the Honda and would then like to go on to a bigger bike and currently fancies a Kawasaki Vulcan.
Both my wife and I ride but the kids have shown no interest despite (or because of ) coming out on the back of me. At least my daughters taken her driving test,my lad shows no interest in learning to ride or drive.
