I'm late to this thread, @Vulpes. So your lovely wife refuses to ride pillion on the Speedy, eh? I certainly understand her choice--I wouldn't sit on the back of a Speed Triple either which has nothing to do with you and everything to do with that tiny little "perch".

But here's my question. If she's not going to ride pillion on Speedy, does that mean she's going to ride her own bike??!! :)

It is indeed the "perch" Sandi. She's afraid she'll slip off...
As for riding her own bike - she doesn't trust herself enough yet to get one! :joy:

Have a look at Tecbikeparts.com @Vulpes . I bought a pair of these when I removed my Bonneville rear pegs.

TEC Anodised Rear Footpeg Blanking Covers.

They're showing out of stock atm. Might be too large for your bike, hard to tell. They looked great on the Bonnie.

I don't blame her for being worried she'll slip off, @Vulpes! My best girlfriend (who does ride her own bike) was in a position to need to ride two-up with her husband on his GSXR. She said that she was completely terrified that she'd slide off the back and joked about needing a big velcro belt to attach herself to hubby. But then she said she just decided instead to never ride pillion with him (on that bike) again. :joy:

I do like that you put that all-important "yet" in sentence about her riding her own bike. ;) Never say never.

Only got my Spiple a couple of weeks ago (2010) but these came with it (pegs didn’t, but I just happen to have a set in the garage).

No idea where they came from, unfortunately, but at least you know they exist!

If you remove the pegs you can put on a seat cowl and that sorts out the MOT.
