When I married into this family, the youngest (of 4 children) was 6 yrs.old and I was riding my 1974 Trident T150V. Today the youngest is 51 and rides a Yamaha Raider, another son rides a Honda VTX, and another rides a Victory Vegas Jackpot. They aren't to keen on PPE while riding, and the season is short in Wyoming. But I don't expect them to give up their scooters anytime soon !

Neither of my son's have shown any interest in riding. When they were younger they would ride pillion with me, but once they got a car licence they sadly lost interest in bikes.

Yeah, both my daughters followed that same route. My eldest particularly liked to ride with me. But neither of them has wanted to take the learner’s class despite my gentle encouragement.

They are 26 and 23 now, so they’ve got their own lives that include cars, but not bikes.

No interest from my kids at all either.
Kind of a shame but all settled down now so I can’t see any of them doing any tests soon.
Just to get my own back, i'll only leave them a motorbike each in my will....
And, they'll be from china too (should the bikes survive more than a few years).....

My number 1 and number 3 sons both have bikes, No 1 has a VFR750 and No 3 a CB500X. No 3 came to Scotland with me last month and is itching to do his advanced test. Despite coming off at 52mph......

But still the eldest Son of Tracy races well these days just track days here and in Spain and i just wish he would give it up. Even thinking that way myself now.

I have three sons. Larry, Moe, and Curly. Larry owns a Honda VTX 1800 and a Harley Ultra. Moe rides a ninja 400. And Curly owns a Honda dual sport 250 and an older Harley in the sportster family.

Rachel is older than that and just passed her test. It's never too late. :)

My lad used to lead bike tours round Vietnam. On a license he bought in Thailand.
There was a conversation a few years ago from one of his mates....
    'Joe's had an accident'.
'He's not critical, punctured lung, broken collarbone and maybe a ruptured liver.'
'He's kept up his insurance like he told me......'
    '.............................
    ....................................'
'Move him to a hospital that takes credit cards now'

    Bloody. Kids. :D

My youngest daughter just took up riding this summer. I've been having a ball riding around with her.

This was at the local community college, we took a three day course together, and she was able to get her license after completion of the course.

My daughter is riding a Honda Rebel 250. We went on a college visit day a couple weekends ago, and one of the "mentors" was talking about parking and how "a few lucky kids have motorcycles" and they wished they knew how to ride for parking. My daughter now has plans to take the rebel to school.

I sort of wish there was a "sad face" response emoji, @Jet City. :-( Maybe they'll come back to bikes later in life.

Do you mean that you're thinking of giving up riding yourself, Joe? Or that you're just going to do track days? I'm hoping you continue to find joy in riding. But then we each must make those choices ourselves in the final analysis.

Really, Lou? Larry, Moe, and Curly?!? :joy: Very cool that each of them rides! (In addition to making it big in comedy....)
