I’m sorry that you feel that way Ron

I have never met you except on here
I have met Ron (Mr Orange) and I liked him but he’s gone :(
I have met Jez (dozersdad) and I liked him but he’s gone :(
Time to move on mate and I for one am gonna draw a line under this :)
I’m not gonna get drawn into any more discussions on this subject :)
I can’t stop yourself or others from discussing it but I’m done :)

I can only guess that Jez ruffled a few too many feathers once too often and a few snowflakes went into total meltdown. One or two of his posts make mention of him being accused of being 'offensive'. The politically correct don't like straight talking. I assume that they always carry a spray can of air freshener with them wherever they go in case, when they go for a good dump, they are offended by the smell of their own shit. I do despair sometimes!

I agree with @dilligaf post above and I'm going to take a leaf from his book but If any further help is required to your constant question @Ron Ashurst then may I suggest you perhaps send @Rob a personal PM maybe he will answer your question or maybe remove you, your choice,

Lots of forums just fade away so we should be thankful for this great resource.
Coming here becomes a daily routine so when everything goes missing you feel it!
Go easy on each other especially the moderators....Not an easy job.

I have been celebrating (American) Thanksgiving Day so logged in just a bit ago and was SOOOO happy to see the forum back up! :grinning::grinning::grinning: It's one more thing--among many--for me to give thanks for today. :)

Let me take this opportunity to say that I am thrilled to be connected once again to you guys--to my forum acquaintances, buddies, and friends. Long live The Triumph Forum! :kissing_heart:

Well I for one am glad we are back on air. It's been a very sad time for the forum . After many years of happy banter and many new friends made. It was such a shame that some posts went from leg pulling to leg pulling with intent. I'm not going into details but we were losing so many members due to this that it had to be moderated. I know not all of you agree but a majority will.
I tried my best to Calm down the jibes but with no joy. It was with a sad heart for me that Rob had to step in and take drastic action .
All we want is a happy forum ,
Have a laugh and joke BUT just be sensible about your posts . That's all we ask. I'm happy to stay as admin on the forum . I will still look at posts if reported from both sides of the conversation. I'm not going to play hard ball, we are grown ups and should know when we cross the line.
All I ask is stop blaming people for what has happened and start getting back to enjoying a very good forum.

Good to see the forum up and running again as i was at a bit of a loss yesterday for my Triumph fix.

Speaking as a mod on a car forum some of the 5hit, hand bagging and dummy spitting by MEN you have to deal with i find just laughable and very Mumsnet. However i have never been threatened (if that's what happened).

I hope the problems have been resolved as i am an ole fart that likes forums but has no time for whats-twat or falsebook.

The thing about threats is that it is all a matter of perception. They range from the unmistakable to the imagined......

They must have been via pm as I never saw a post that constituted a threat. Although I rarely lift the lid on the political threads so i'm not refuting their existence. Just never seen one.

I'll echo what others have said, its good to see the forum back up and running. Thanks Rob. Personally speaking, I've been a member on many motorbike forums like this one and I find if you use it as a resource (to find out things you might not otherwise have known about your motorbike) and then put back in where you can to help others in a similar vein, things work well. The more social side of forums is where the trouble (if any) occurs. We all have differing opinions on Politics/Religion etc. etc. and vive la difference says I, but when it comes to making people uncomfortable when they express their views because they aren't in the clic or whatever that's just plain wrong. I like a laugh and a joke along with everyone else but not when it marginalises someone else.
