As the wife refuses to ride pillion on the speedy, I decided to take the pegs off for a cleaner look - I know others have done it, but do you bolt up the vacant bolt holes? And if so, what with?

Triumph use those plastic hole plugs for blanking off.

As Notso said, plastic "fir tree" blanking plugs

Or black domed head allen bolts

I like the look of the domed head allen bolts - they'd need a bolt at the back, I'd think? As the pegs are bolted on from the inside, as it were.

If the hole isn't threaded, then my first choice would be the plastic plugs, but that is just personal preference and the allen bolt with a nut would work equally as well :)

Don't Evotech do a blanking kit for the Speed Triple? They do for the Street Triple - what chance they have the same bolt hole spacing? I've got a Gen 1 Street I can measure if that's any help?

Yeah I think they are and only need to be the length of the thread in the hole put some copper slip on the thread on assembly

There's no thread in the hole though, as the original bolts screw into the pegs themselves. Would need a nut on the inside.

I'd be more worried about the missing rear wheel but we all have our own priorities. ;)

My MOT man said if you have a pillion seat you must have pillion pegs or it's an MOT fail. I don't even have pillion insurance but have to keep the pegs.

I'd just fill the holes with some black silicone RTV. You get a smooth watertight finish and you can just poke it out when need be.
