    Hello,

I am excited to join this forum and look forward to learn as much as possible and eventually contribute.

I am originally from Germany, lived for the last 20 years in Colorado and just moved to Clovis, California right at the foothills of the Sierra Nevada.

Have been riding for more than 30 years. From a Honda CB100 to a Triumph Rocket III. Right now I have a 1998 BMW R1100GS and a 1982 Suzuki GS1100GK.

Within the next few weeks I am planning to get either a T120 Bonneville or a Scrambler 1200 XC. Still need to test ride these bikes.

I love the looks of the T120 but the relatively small tank and tube tires are concerns. Not the the Scrambler tank is much bigger, but it's going in the right direction.

The bike should be comfortable for shorter (~3 hours, one way) rides with a passenger. The Speed Twin looks very attractive to me but the seat looks less comfortable than the ones on the T120 or 1200 Scrambler.

There is no Triumph dealer in Fresno/Clovis so I will probably end up getting my bike in Modesto or Bakersfield. Any comments on these dealerships would be appreciated.

    Greetings from California,
    Armin

Welcome... You have lots of good riding close by, along with Yosemite {and lane splitting is legal}.

Welcome aboard Armin. Three very different bikes there. Make sure you give each of them a good test ride before committing. Enjoy the ride and stay safe.
