No! Period! Save the honours for the people who's achievements benefit others, and not primarily themselves, say perhaps the scientists at Oxford, who's work it's beginning to look like will enable society too return to some sort of normality next year!

I do watch F1 and there is no doubting Hamiltons ability in the sport. I agree that he is likely to get a knighthood, but I don't think he should until he has completed his racing career and then only if he does give something back to society.

He races in 19 different countries and pays tax in several different places including the UK.

I live in the UK all the time and haven’t paid income tax for 8 years.

Depends on wether he’s getting it for being a brilliant driver or not, which (annoyingly) he undoubtedly is, when everyone else makes mistakes he usually gets it right and cream Does rise to the top.

On the other hand he is definitely an irritating prick, his sickly sweet PC comments at every opportunity are truly vomit inducing, he can’t receive a trophy without thanking everyone in the sodding world and his whole BLM baby really gets on my tits, if F1 was as racist as he likes to imagine he never would have sat in a Mercedes.

But if previous recipients are the measure, then he’s just as worthy as some, and more than a good few

Problem is, if he is knighted we’ll all have to put up with another huge dollop of his sanctimonious bullshit
Another stage for him to preach to all of us about what we should eat and how to behave☹️

    On balance NO
I haven’t got the stomach for it

A british knight has to live and paying taxes in the UK....point!
NOT in Monaco, Colorado ore an other tax-paradise. Sure he is a fantastic driver...But to be a knight of UK he also must be a honorable person and must pay his taxes in UK.

    A definate NO from me.

He's only the most "successful" driver as he's been around longer than most. Drivers from past era's would get my vote on this score (Jim Clark still holds the record for highest percentage wins in one season and could win races in just about anything).
There's too many driver aids and push button crap these days which makes them easier to drive.
He's spouting off from his ivory tower about how we should all stop eating meat and go green and save the planet etc...etc, from a man who's grown up and made £millions racing cars FFS! I guess he's no different to many other celebrities in this respect. These people live in a privelidged bubble and NONE of them are going to tell me what to eat, what to wear, what to buy and how to live my life.
When you look at who's been given them in recent years and for what, the whole awards/honours system has been devalued IMO. Truly great men like Sir Isaac Newton and Sir Winston Churchill must be turning in their graves. JMO

Good luck for 2021 Billy, let’s see how Hamilton fares against someone fuelled to win.
Beat him at his own game by switching to Greggs vegan sausage rolls.

No knighthood for Hamilton please !!! Lecturing us about going green while he was wanging along on a 1000hp power boat in the mediteranian having got there by private jet makes me pretty resentful. His black lives matter stance sucks , I don't see their point of view at all.

Can't comment. Think the last time i watched F1 it was Nigel Mansell with his wheels coming off. Just not interested.
