Right I have got it to turn over after replacing the earth wier and cleaning the points, so now it is turning over but not firing up, I'm abit stuck on where the pipes go from the carbs to the fuel tank, I have 6 pipes in total there is a small thin one coming from the right side of the tank, then there is another thin one coming from the carbs then 4 thicker ones coming from the carbs aswell, don't suppose you know where these go as they is only 2 big holes from the fuel tank and one small hole I still have two big pipes spare.
2 Okay thanks alot matey I think I've sorted it now pipes are all in correct place just won't start just turning over.
Progress and the not so sweet smell of partial success. If you have fuel have you checked for spark? Just check with all the fettling you have not disturbed anything.
Yeah I have spark, checked that, this bike is going to be the death of me... It sounded like it was going to fire up at some points but then just didn't hold, cut out after I let go of the button.
Well, if you have fuel and a spark, next is air! However, the timing could be out which would cause this also! Quite how you can check that, someone else will help! But like @Callumity has said, probably something has become dislodged somewhere!
How long since it last ran? It may just be old fuel and a bit damp and would kick off with a squirt of Easy Start.
Shall I have a good luck at the carbs to make sure everything is still in place then? But I'm sure it all is fine as I did check before and after installing them
