My pass light does not work
However the main beam light does. Checked all fuses and the 15amp ACC fuse was blown so replaced with new. Still the pass light does not work. The front lights are always on but also the front parking light that sits in the middles of both headlights is also on while the engine is running. Not sure if this light is ment to be on all the time.

    Help !!!

Hi Steve, not sure what you mean by 'passlight'? If you mean the switch that swaps between dipped and main beams, what else do you expect the switch to do, if the headlights are permanently on? What year is your bike?

Left hand control. There is a yellow switch and has pass on it. Used to make your lights flash. 2011 model

OK Steve, just another quick question. Do both headlights come on for both Dip and Main beam? Or is it Dip for one and main for the other?

When you start the bike, which headlights light up on the dipped beam?

When the bike is on, the dipped beam is always on. When you put the full beam on it switches the lights to the high beam. The bulbs in the bike are one bulb but have two setting in them for the high and low beam settings. So when you switch from dipped beam to high it turns the front of the bulb of and turns on the back of the bulb which is the main beam. Thanks.

So this yellow pass button does nothing?

On a number of bikes including Triumph twin headlight models there is a wiring modification that peeps can buy, which changes the way the headlights work and it sounds like yours has this mod, which is why the Yellow switch no longer performs any function.

Had this last night. Easy fix. Get yourself a spray can of switch cleaner and squirt it in and around the switch with the ignition off!
Flick the switch a few dozen times while doing this and it should clean up the contacts. Blow out most of the moisture left and give it a try. Worked for me. Give it a couple of attempts before ordering a new switch!

Just said the mechanic opened it up and give the connection a clean and put it back together and it worked.

The new Tigers still have this pass switch, which I thought had been phased out on modern bikes (don't remember the Bonnie having one). The Enfield has one, not that it is capable of passing much!

On a similar note, the hazard warning light switch on my Trident became stuck on somehow after the bike was left for two weeks. I started it up and had all the indicators going. Had to take apart and spray with WD-40 to fix the problem.
