I live in the United States and own a 2012 Tiger 1050 SE ABS, US model made in Taiwan, not the SPORT model. I work for a living and travel extensively so I have little time to ride. My bike has only a little over 4I miles on it from new by me. I'm not sure if this is the area to get down to it should I have questions, and I do.
Hi do I just reply to other people's replies to start a conversation, I'm new to using forums, Ivegot questions, I need help. I'm not tech savvy.
Hi can you tell me do I create a thread, or post a reply, or what, to ask questions, and hopefully get answers - responses as to my specific questions? I'm new to using forums, I'm not tech savvy.
Hi there. Lots of different places to post on here. Go to the technical section for techy questions, or to the lounge for more laid back posts. Have a look around at the others too. You can either answer a thread already open or start your own There are also specific bike sections.
Hi, If you're not familiar with the format of forums and threads, while you find your feet just put anything you want to ask here, I'm sure everyone will be understanding. If you're still doing that in two years we may be less so
Streetgirl675 has pretty much covered it but I would add that spending a little time looking around will give you a good insight, and don't worry if you post something in the wrong place. It can always be moved to the right forum and no one gets upset about that sort of thing, especially with new members. If you want to start a new conversation topic (thread), the forum will automatically return search results similar to the thread title as you type. Sometimes it'll turn up an existing thread that you can jump in to. If not, just start one of your own. Finally, always feel free to ask any questions. The natives are pretty friendly.
Welcome bud, yeah just ask any questions in here until you figure it all out and it pops up as a new message and usually a few people will reply. Friendly bunch that are very helpful (I'm pretty new here myself)
Thanks everyone I already typed up a lengthy question in the technical section. I just hope that someone who's in the know, was reading threads in that section. Triumph North America nor Triumph UK, were of no help whatsoever. Is it just me or are manufacturers letting people who have never ridden anything, go and do the ergonomics on today's bikes? My bike has a number of epic flaws, but other makes/models are no better.
Hello and welcome to the forum If you keep posting in here then most of the time you’ll just get the same peeps welcoming you to the forum Best to familiarise yourself with the various sections and if you’ve got a questions start your own thread in the appropriate section
Welcome to the forum, @Savagetitan! You've landed on a great and very active Triumph forum. Others have posted excellent answers to your tech questions. I'll reiterate the comments about browsing around on the larger forum to see what forum areas within the forum there are and what sorts of threads they contain. You'll also see what areas appeal to you and which ones don't interest you as much. There are lots of conversations that aren't even about motorcycles!
