My heart bleeds for you. A little cool here too. Snow is presently falling in the Scottish Borders.

Having been to Texas three times for staff meetings back in the noughties I have been:
    - a bit chilly in November
    - a bit too hot to be outside in May
    - roasted alive in July.

A biking work colleague based there pretty much admitted it was too brutal to use the bike during the height of summer so he would lay his bike up for three months until it cooled off

Must have had your eyes closed with the brilliant sunshine, as the saying goes don't mess with Texas

Well l do agree the sun does shine alot there Pete, but as l was there for a month I think that on a few days l could see what the "Texas Hills" actually looked like, & my opinion on them is fair & founded.

PS, don't turn into a plastic Texan mate, it's not big & it's not clever!!!!...:p:laughing::joy:

So you can really ride in temp;s over 100f????
Not my idea of biking heaven, & for the month to 6 weeks we can get of 90f+ temps my bike stays in the garage.
But in comparison to the UK in weather related issues, you are in the best spot.
(it's just that my spot is better!!!!!.....LOL!!!)
   ;)

It was in English mate. Not American English!
Simple question, you stated "it's just that my spot is better!!!!!.....LOL!!!, I asked "where Missouri?"
Sarcasm of saying "Anyway, to save you the trauma of having to reply" is not necessary, a simplistic yes would have sufficed!;)

Maybe an English (well American) teacher DD?. Thought forums were meant to be a bit of fun...... not having someone pull your post apart, clever huh?

Thanks SmilinJack, my defense is twofold.
One, I've been drinking a lot of Rum.
Two, whilst pi$$ed, trying to type replies on a phone.

Never mind soon be "happy hour"

I was living in San Antonio for two years, and would go up there every weekend. Some of the best riding roads I have experienced. Winters were a bit chilly, but still rideable. I hope to get back there someday
