Pleased to announce that we are expecting...a full licence for my significant other who passed her test this morning! There will now be a period of test rides and arguing about the keys to the Street Triple in the garage. Happy days.
Well done Mrs Octoberon, now it's first come first served in the garage bagsy the street triple before you know who gets there.
I'll tell you a story on the subject of becoming the 'future Mrs Octoberon' over a pint at the next meet-up. Definitely not an accountand but I appreciate I probably do look like the office type.
Not strictly true DD.....I asked a Norfolk bloke once why they are called 'Carrot Crunchers' and he batted my eyelid. And nose. And a few other bits besides. Sensitive types.
Turns out insurers aren't interested in having a newly qualified rider added to the policy for my Street Triple. The surly bloke at Carole Nash was so dismissive and negative I nearly told him what to do with the policy there and then. Maybe it'll work better if she insures it and has me named. Anyone got experience or advice around insurance for a new rider on their first big bike?
Some manufacturers offer free insurance on bikes? Generally have to be new ones though and on PCP/HP i think? Probably too prohibitive though. Or, Earn more! cheapskate.....
If you haven't already sorted the insurance then Bikesure are definitely worth a bell..and if you join MAG you'll get a discount!
