Drill a hole through and nut and bolt? Couple of washers too of course would be my backup

Today I test ride my home made screen deflector (heat bent altuglas, 3D designed and printed parts. The size and angle look ok.
It's efficient, and hopefully not too ugly.

I (well, she’s bought me an early Christmas present ..)purchased a private number plate for the speedy!
Never done it before but pretty seamless from dvla directly (not the website in the pic. Dvla is cheaper all in.)
    Someone already has TR10MPH
    I'm turning the 0 into a U with a yellow mounting bolt..... ;)
    Here's a selection that i picked from.....
I’ve now named the bike "trumpy".....
Number plate has been purchased with size of 8" x 2".....
    A tad illegal...

Checked the spark plugs on the TWAT:cool:
Never seen so many connections under the tank on a bike
Pulled them all apart and gave them a squirt of electrical grease :)
Re-mounted the heated grips controller more central out of the weather :) image.jpg

What a Feckin carry on
Got the air box all put together with the new air filter in :)
Two breather pipes that come over the air box to the tank I thought I’d better check they were still clear (they were before) but not now
I thought when I took it apart the first time that they were routed strangely
    I was right
I went on tinterweb for muddy sump videos as he’s done loads on his tiger 800 and found out the correct routing for the breather pipes :)
Of course it meant that everything had to come off again to correct it
Never mind it’s all good now and I’ve put the tank back on as well :)
Had enough for today as my back and shoulders are hurting  37570E2C-1890-4C3C-A868-BF65CCABFF2E.jpeg

Ran the TWAT:cool: up this morning to run some checks :)
It’s as sweet as a nut
This afternoon however was a Feckin nightmare :imp:
The front bodywork on these Tiger’s would test the patience of a saint
From the tank forward though it’s all checked/tested and back together :)
Very happy so far and touch wood I haven’t found any horror stories  BCB923AB-EC91-412D-803B-058413B42A0D.jpeg

I guess touch wood means something totally different in the motherland, dilli. :p I'm sure it's the same as knock on wood, though. :D

As it's been a week since my last bike ride I've been itching to get out again, so with today's good weather I took my chance. Since the trees are losing there leaves and it's been very wet recently I decided to head out towards the fens, somewhere without much in the way of trees and less corners in the roads. To get there, satnav still sent me down some back roads covered with wet leaves but after taking it easy on them I got to relax more on the open fen roads.

Around midday I headed down a single track road in search of somewhere quiet to have a pee and eat my packed lunch. Unfortunately the tarmac in the middle of the road soon gave way to grass, then the tarmac at the edges gave way to subsidence and became filled with wet mud. So with my rear wheel starting to squirm I gingerly performed a 20 point turn and backtracked.

I eventually ended up stopping on the way back near one of my favourite places which looks down onto the the Welland valley.

I've got some cleaning to do tomorrow...

I also had a run out today. Went with my mate on his Honda 750. A great autumn run . Mind the Thruxton needed a good clean...

Fitted the SW Motech Blaze pannier system to my Speed Twin today and took it out for a long ride to test them out at speed . Very happy with them so far. Didn’t feel them at all while riding and had them filled pretty full. Should be perfect for commuting upload_2020-10-22_19-9-1.jpeg

Nice. Very unobtrusive to the lines of the bike. They look good.

That's a nice looking bike you've got there. I must admit I do have a soft spot for yellow bikes, I'd have to have a yellow helmet to match. I also like custard and banana's too.
