I have been in my share of asylums :p with some wonderfully zany folks. Nurse? Now, this is sure shot bait I tell ya.. I am sure Igor is going to kick my ass when I call for the nurse. haha.

Here r the pics of the hoses and the dirty carbs after sitting for years.. I took them apart as it was running and idling at 1000 rpm without stuttering.. But 1.5K to 3K was a struggle and higher RPMS became smoother.. The pilots n main jets were pretty clogged and lot of red dusty residue in the carbs (this is not rust but is it the tank lining wearing out? Tank seems clean when I shined a light into it) ..Carbs r shiny squeaky clean now but cant get the damn thing to start now. Need to check compression and spark..

Ty for the pointers in advance.

Figured it out..I think..The clean up I did was half -assed (almost mental I would say) and the idle mix screw/pilots were not completely clog free.. Spit some fuel into the cylinders and plugs were wet/fouled up. Will chem dip or do carb jet rebuild kit, go with 42 mm pilots and remove AI or just flip that valve so it doesnt kick in. U can start the bashing now on the 1/2 ass job I did earlier :)

Yes those are just your overflow pipes to carbs and airbox. Don't kick your self to much leave some of that for the inmates to do. But you are getting on great there. And when it fires up right you will have that great pleasure of knowing its right and done correctly best of all its yours and you cured it.

Boy..Oh boy... Being my first Bonnie, now that I have ridden it around and put it through it's paces, damn!. This is one fun bike to ride. So zippy, so grounded, flickable, peppy..in a compound word..orgasmic-fun. ..Me and my kid went for a ride with him riding pillion and he was like. Ooooooooooooooooooooooooh.. this is fun dad.. Now that it's purring like a kitten, onto the mods to make it roar like a tiger and also make those pesky little nuisances Triumph designed more ergonomic and user friendly. BTW, I removed AI without removing the piping and plumbing. Posting it in another thread for posterity.
